Event Details

The Everson Museum of Art and the Community Library of DeWitt & Jamesville are partnering to bring you a NEW book club right at home, in the car, on the trail, or camping in a tent in the woods. Wherever you are right now, you can enjoy a fascinating book and join the discussion on Zoom from your computer, tablet, or phone! Presented by the docents of the Everson, this social book club is open to adults and seniors looking to have a relaxing chat about a thrilling topic from the world of art.

We are reading The Last Painting of Sara de Vos by Dominic Smith for the August session. The story starts in Amsterdam in 1631. It ends in Sydney, Australia in 2000. Together, we will travel through four centuries and across continents chasing the fortunes of a painting called “At the Edge of a Wood.” Dominic Smith wraps the journey in love, deceit, and international intrigue. When you finish the last page, you may want to return to Amsterdam and start the journey all over again.

Registration Required. Zoom meeting information will be emailed to registrants on the day of the event. This event is moderated.

5+ Copies of The Last Painting of Sara de Vos have been purchased for the library’s digital collection.
